What is Online Fine Arts Museum?

Online Fine Arts Museum is an entirely virtual museum dedicated to the promotion of art, culture and the artistic community arround the world.

What is MArO?

MArO stands for Museo de Arte Online. It is the Spanish version of our museum. 

Where is the museum located?

Due to the virtual nature of Online Fine Arts Museum its location is actually the web. It does not have a physical location.

Why Blogger?

We have chosen Blogger to host our museum for its simple, easy to use and navigate interface, as well as the general reliability of the service. 

What about money?

Online Fine Arts Museum is based on the idea of a collaborative effort between our team and artists around the world to bring art and culture closer to the public. No money is involved. We do not pay nor charge any of the parties working with us.

What is a virtual exhibition?

A virtual exhibition is one taking place on the internet showing the works of one or more artist/s overseen by a curator. At Online Fine Arts Museum, exhibitions are displayed using a video format. These video-exhibitions are uploaded to our YouTube channel and then posted on our website. 

Can I exhibit at Online Fine Arts Museum?

Any artist over 18 years of age can exhibit their artworks at Online Fine Arts Museum provided they follow our Open Call guidelines. If you have any queries, contact us at ofam.maro@gmail.com. 

What benefits do I get when exhibiting at Online Fine Arts Museum?

When you exhibit at Online Fine Arts Museum you get to experience a new way to relate to and display art given its virtual nature. You get the chance to reach a bigger audience. In addition, you get an Exhibition Certificate issued by Online Fine Arts Museum. And all these at zero-cost!

What kind of artworks are eligible?

Painting, sculpture, printmaking, performance, installations, video art, essencially anything that can be displayed in video format. Please, check our guidelines to make your submission.

Can I exhibit more than once at Online Fine Arts Museum?

Yes, of course you can.

What is the difference between a permanent and a temporary exhibition?

At Online Fine Arts Museum a temporary exhibition is displayed for the course of a month after which the video-exhibition is taken down from both our website and YouTube channel only remaing the post and its flyer. A permenent exhibition, on the other hand, is one that is always available on our museum for visitors and artists to see.

Can I buy any of the art pieces shown at Online Fine Arts Museum?

Online Fine Arts Museum is not a commercial art gallery hence if you want to buy a piece exhibited on our website you should contact the artist themselves. Artists' contact information is provided with each exhibition.
